How do I become a member of Christ's church?
Faith: Jesus said "unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins" - John 8:24; compare Romans 10:17; Hebrews 11:6

Repentance: Jesus said "unless you repent you will all likewise perish" - Luke 13:3; compare Acts 3:19; 17:30

Confession: Jesus said "whoever confesses me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God" - Luke 12:8; compare Romans 10:9-10; I Timothy 6:12

Baptism: Jesus said "he who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned" - Mark 16:16; compare Acts 2:38; Acts 22:16

Our Preacher:

History:

The first meeting of the University church of Christ took place in a conference room at the Hampton Inn on June 17, 2007.
Initially, several area preachers, including John Board, Peter Ray Cole, Brent Gallagher, and Steve Snider, donated their time to help the small group with preaching and teaching.
As the church grew, its meeting place moved to an office space in Westover on August 12, 2007, and then to a larger office suite on October 7, 2007.
The church held its first gospel meeting November 28-30, 2007, with speakers Warren Kenney, Charles Pugh III, and Gene West.
The first full-time preacher was hired in January 2008 thanks to the generous donations of congregations and individuals in West Virginia.
Property for a meeting place was purchased in July 2008 with construction being completed in the fall of 2009. Listed below are several area congregations without whose generous past support University church of Christ would not have been possible.
